| Administrative History | Eckington School is a comprehensive school for boys and girls aged between 11-18 The catchment area is widespread and diverse, located south of Sheffield in the former North East Derbyshire Coalfield area. the school was opened in January 1978. They were designated as a specialist engineering college from September 2002. One of the key features of an engineering college is the fusion of mathematics, science and design and technology activity. |
