Description
The volume has largely been used as a financial record by pasting in receipts, cheques and bills. It is interspersed with notes, newscuttings and other information, including notes of his marriage and births of his children; lists of pits worked in since 1883 with names of managers; comments on dispute over pay with under manager, Bolsover Colliery Co, 1922; patent for improvement in rock cutting; etc; brochure for proposed new building for Derbyshire Miners' Convalescent Home.
