This unlisted collection includes photocopies of some of the maps described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The descriptions read as follows:

A plan of the Manor of Hassop in the County of Derby belonging to the Worshipfull Rowland Eyre, Esq. Taken by Robert Meller, Calver. Anno. Dom. 1752. Surveyor:Robert Meller. Scale: protracted from a Scale of 4 chains or 16 Poles in an inch [1:3200]. Size: 77 x 70 cm. Materials: coloured, ink on paper. Centred on: SK222722 Notes: top of sheet north-east. Estate plan, 823 acres, with field-names, reference letters, buildings in block plan, except group near north of parish which includes a distinctive elevation of a horse-winding gin: lanes, paths, roads to Bakewell, Ashbourne, Tideswell, Chesterfield, widened section named 'Green': reference table lists 11 tenants, total area of land types: Common, Waste, Free, Arable, meadow & pasture. A Map or draft of all the wasts and commons belonging to the Towne and liberties of Hope [as i]t stands now divided among the Freeholders and Coppy[holders] of the said Towne and liberties of Hope according to [their Maj]esties writt of partition the first day of July in th[e third] yeare of their Majesties Reigne and in the yeare of our Lord 1691 by us Luke Leigh, Edmund Hall Surveyors. Surveyors:Edmund Hall, Luke Leigh. Scale: of 40 Chaines [1:6400]. Size: 66 x 78 cm., irregular. Materials: ink and paint on parchment.Centred on: SK1783 Notes: cardinal points at the corners of the sheet, north-east at top of sheet. Rough sketch showing wastes and commons, about 1400 acres, with name of freeholder or copyholder and acreage. The boundaries are crossed by ladder stiles, unnamed 'yates', many footways indicated by double broken lines: small holdings of land near Hope village (name only) follow a strip pattern: many houses sketched in stylised elevation with roofs, cross-hatched, one or two chimneys: 'Slate pits' noted. A map of the several Roads from Fairfield near Buxton to the Windmill House near Great Hucklow in the County of Derby. Survey'd and drawn by William Fairbank jun. of Sheffield. 1758. Surveyor: William Fairbank, junior. Scale: of eight Furlongs or one Mile [1:15800]. Size: 27 x 75 cm. Materials: ink and watercolour on paper. Centred on:SK1678 Notes: compass indicator, north at top. Shows alternative routes from Fairfield to Windmill House: (a) via Small Dale and Hay Dale, (b) via Hardgate Wall, Bramwell Dale [Monksdale] and Tideswell, 'petitioned for by the inhabitants of Tideswell' with two variations: measurements of each surveyed route: notes details relevant to route, start of by-roads, adjacent houses in block plan. Scale: Protracted from a Scale of 4 chains or 16 Poles in an Inch [A scale of 20 chains is drawn in the border below] [1:3200]. Size: 70 x 102 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK240745 Notes: top of sheet NNW. Estate plan, 771 acres, with field names, reference numbers, area: closes by River Derwent noted 'formerly Reconby Wood': evidence of earlier open field lands in New Close: houses in block plan, coloured red but careless draftsmanship loses detail: corn mill and lead mill on Mill Brook: named lanes, double dotted line: Peak Pasture, Combs, Brambly Wood: Reference table lists 27 tenants and total area of land types, e.g. free, waste, arable, meadow. Endorsed 'No.23 Bowden Chapell'. [c.1640]. Scale: of 48 [chains] [1:7900] with dividers. Size: 90 x 47 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK058789 Notes: top of sheet east. Shows wasts and commons in Chapel en le Frith with boundaries, acreage, proprietors, field names, 1893 acres with divisions into best, middle, worst sorts of land partitioned equally with one part Rex, some boundary features, crosses, walls, gates. Martinside Cross, Sparrowpit Yate, Colborn Moss: houses including Ridge Hall with 3 stories and 4 gables: inhabitants identified: lime kilns: table with areas by grade. Mapp of the Wasts and commons in Bowden Chapel, Fairfeilde, Ferneleigh, Shalcross and Mellor as they are equally divided into two equal parts quantity and quality considered and meared by us Thomas Hibbart and Samuel Barton two Survayors being sworne upon our oathes to that purpose by the Commissioners and delivered up unto the said Commissioners the eight daye of October 1640. Surveyor: Thomas Hibbarte and Samuel Barton. Scale: Measured and divided by a scale of forty chains in the Inch [1:32000] Size:109 x 69 cm. Materials: ink and coloured paints on paper. Centred on: SK038387 (Bradshaw Hall). Notes: shows three separate areas in different orientations: Combs Moss area WNW at top: Mellor church to Maidenstone SE at top: Eccles Pike, Bradshaw hall and Shalcross NNW at top: tables with acreages of best, middle and worst sort of land marked, separate table with King's part and tenant's part: many houses drawn distinctively and named: boundary marks, crosses, 'yates', 'Forest wall'.
