Description
Quitclaim (Damaged) by Nicolas Creswell of Blakebrooke in the parish of Chappel-in-le Fryth [Chapel-en-le-Frith], yeoman to Henry Kirke of Martinside, Chappel-inle-Frythe and Thomas Melior of Town End in the parish of Chappell. Trustees under the will of Mary Dixon, deceased, in consideration of £35, of a messuage and lands in Hordeme and a yearly rent of 20/-, to be discharged by the trustees as recited in the wills of Edward Dixon deceased, (8 September 1685), and Mary his wife (6 August1696} namely to be divided amongst the poorest inhabitants of the parish of Chappell-in-le-Fryth and to such of them as the trustees shall judge most indigent and fittest objects of charity. All the residue to be put to the use and behoof of such schoolmaster as shall be approved of and licensed by the Laws of the Kingdom.
