Administrative History
Spondon National School opened in 1839. After the discovery in 1890 of the dedication of the parish church to St. Werbergh, this name became attached to the school. It became a public elementary school and subsequently a Church of England (Aided) Primary School.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office from Derby Local Studies Library in February 2003.
