Administrative HistoryCurbar Council School, earlier referred to as the Public Elementary Schools or National Schools, was erected in 1871, at a total cost of nearly £1100. The Duke of Rutland gave the site, and conveyed it to the Vicar and Churchwardens as Trustees. It was subsequently extended in 1920 when new cloakrooms and offices were added. The school had three sections for boys, girls and infants; and was situated close to Calver Bridge.
Custodial HistoryThese records were donated by a member of the public in January 2003. A further deposit was received from the school in January 2021.
