Archive CreatorWriters' Summer School, Swanwick
Administrative HistoryThe Writers’ Circles’ Summer School was first held in 1949, organised by Cecil Hunt, Chairman of the London Writers’ Circle, and has since been held at the Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick for one week annually, running courses and workshops for its attendees and inviting Guest Speakers to lecture on book authorship, publishing and technology. In 1952 it changed its name to the Writers’ Summer School.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited in November 2002. Further deposits were received in March 2006, June 2009, May 2012 (currently unlisted, see D5886/UL), July 2014 and July 2021.
