Description	This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows: A Map of Land lying in the Liberty of Ripley belonging to Charles Horne Gent. Taken in the Year MDCCLXVI. 1766. Scale: of 10 chains [1:1600] with dividers. Size: 64 x 45 cm. Materials: coloured ink on parchment. Centred on: ? SK39493 Notes: compass rose, top of sheet ENE. Shows about 30 acres in 12 closes, some field names, acreage, reference numbers, no terrier: hedges and trees roughly drawn: 2 buildings in plan, all grouped north side of tree-lined road: adjoining owners: endorsement in pencil illegible.
