Description	The earliest register in this series dates from the time of the Ilkeston Local Board, 1869-1889. The registers for 1889 to 1923 are in four volumes, each using a separate numbering system starting with the number 1. At some stage, however, the plans themselves were re-classified from 1-1100, and then by using an alphanumeric system. The original registers from 1923 to 1936 were missing on transfer, and the only volumes surviving are street indexes to the registers.
