Administrative HistoryThe Church Gresley Burial Board was established in 1877 under the provisions of the Burial Acts 1852-1871 to serve the townships of Church Gresley, Castle Gresley, Linton, Drakelow and Swadlincote, as well as part of the township of Oakthorpe. The Board was superseded by Swadlincote Urban District Council in 1926, who took over the running of the cemetery.
