Administrative History	In 1565 William Gilbert handed over property to be used to maintain a schoolmaster. Other lands and rents were added later. In 1868 the Boys Endowed School moved into a new building. A few years later schools for girls and infants were opened. These items relating to Duffield Endowed School were brought together by a private individual.
