This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A Survey of Several Lands of Mrs. Wrights and Several Lands of Mr Claytons; In and about Clown, Mr Wrights being Collered with yellow Containing 126 acres, 3 roods 04 perches, Mr Claytons being Collered with Green and Containing 90 acres, 1 rood, 39 perches Surveyed by R. Willson, 1713. Surveyor: Robert Willson. Scale: of 80 poles or ¼ of an English Mile [1:4000]. Size: 71 x 71 cm. Materials: ink on parchmen with coloured boundaries. Centred on: SK472745 Notes: compass rose. Estate map, about 217 acres, with closes in ownership only with area, reference letters and numbers: adjacent roads named: some houses and a cross: key shows landholders with field names and acreage: endorsed 'A survey of Lands in Clowne taken by Robt.
