A couple ride in a carriage, travelling from left to right, pulled by two horses and followed by two footmen. The man driving the carriage wears glasses, a round hat, top boots and a great-coat with three capes. He is accompanied by a woman wearing a riding habit and a hat with plumes. On the right is a building with the sign 'R Mac Nabb Sheriffs Officer' above the door. Two men watch the carriage go by. Behind the carriage is a sign pointing left 'TO THE KINGS BENCH' and right (the direction of the carriage) 'TO ROTTEN ROW'.
