The reference to 'Thurlobo' is probably to Chancellor Thurlow, who was caricatured as 'Thurlebo the Chancellor of Lilliput' in one of a series of political caricatures [BM Sat 7879] called 'The Lilliputian World', designed by Woodward and published in 1791.
