Richard Wroughton (1748-1822) made his debut at Covent Garden in 1768 and went on to play there for another fifteen seasons. In 1785 he moved to Drury Lane. He was not regarded as an outstanding actor, and was often called on to play young men and rakes.
There is no record of any production of 'Henry VI' in London at the end of the eighteenth century. The performance may have gone unrecorded, or it may have been the performance of a speech, or excerpt as a tailpiece. |
