Administrative History
The Association of Friends of Charles White School was formed in 1972 to encourage co-operation between staff, parents and all others who wished to be associated with the school and to engage in activities of all kinds affecting the education and welfare of the children attending the school.
Charles White School opened in 1956. When secondary education in Matlock was reorganised in 1982, the school was closed, which consequently meant that the Association itself was disbanded.
