Administrative History
The Wesleyan Higher Grade school for boys with schools for girls and infants was set up in 1857. In 1897 girls were admitted to the Higher Grade and from 1907 a Mixed Higher Grade School was in operation. It closed in 1913 when pupils transferred to the new school at Reginald Street (see D3861, D5387). The Infants School closed in 1909 when the building was considered unsafe.
