Administrative HistoryMillicent Jackson was born at Garstang, Lancashire in 1893 but during World War One she worked as a nurse, first at Guerdon Hall and later at Derby Royal Infirmary. While in Derby Millicent Jackson lived with her aunt, Dr Annie Jackson, an anaesthetist at Derby Royal Infirmary. The hospital cared for soldiers wounded in Europe and who were sent home to recover. While in the hospital, Millicent Jackson asked many to sign her autograph book.
