| Administrative History | The Elite Picture House, later the Elite Cinema, was situated in the Market Place, Ashbourne. The first reference to it in Kelly's Directories is in 1936, the proprietor being Mrs E Stebbings, who also owned the other cinema in Ashbourne, the Empire. The Elite Cinema was closed down in 1976. |
