Description | Recites partition of estate and minerals by indenture dated 17 May 1727 made between John Fletcher and his wife Sarah, Robert Fletcher and his wife Katherine, Henry Franceys of Derby, gent, John Wilson of Heanor, James and Thomas Booth, both of Heage, yeomen, and Richard Woodhouse of Derby, yeoman, stating John and Robert Fletcher to be jointly seized of Owlgreaves Mansion, together with Chaldings Close, the three Broom Closes, Sough Close, Broad Oak Close, The Floated Close, Older House Close, Heifer Close, the Park, two Barn Crofts, an Orchard, Paddock, pitt field, Gregory Dimples, Lime Kiln Close, two Tansey Crofts, two Ox Pastures, the round meadow, Highfield, Broad Meadow, Rowland Close, Thistley Close and White Close, all occupied by William Butt, gent, and that division into two equal parts had been agreed upon, a fine to be levied to ensure fair partition of the minerals. Further partition by indenture dated 23 November 1727 made between John and Robert Fletcher and Francis Barber of Greisly Castle, Notts, gent, whereby £400 Barber was admitted into a one-third share of the colliery and land belonging to Charles Low Esq.
