Description
Spondon National School was opened in 1839. Premises were extended in 1887, and provided accommodation for boys, girls and infants. It was later known as Spondon Public Elementary School, as well as St Werburgh's School. It subsequently became Spondon Church of England (Aided) Primary School. For other records of the school dated 1848-1947, see D4414. The records were deposited in the Derbyshire Record Office in November 1999.
