Administrative History
The original school was erected at Peartree as a Board School for Mixed, Girls and Infants Departments in 1899. By 1925 there were Senior Schools for Boys and Girls. They later became Secondary Modern Schools, before re-organisation under the new name of Homelands Community School.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office from Derby Local Studies Library in November 1999 and February 2003.
