This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

A Plan of the Mining Liberty adjoining Stanton Common[18c.]. Scale: of fathoms. Size: 88 x 66 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper, conserved onto card. Centred on: SK235647. Notes: compass rose, south-east at top. Shows Lathgill Water, Liberty bounded in red: lead veins marked with roman letters, some named, Flagg vein, Ditch vein, Stoneylea vein: roads from Stanton to Hartle and from Rowsley: Lathgill Water shown in blue: left hand edge missing. Location: DRO, D504/B/LP14
