J M Ellison to Cottingham. Reports that a friend at a dinner party had offered to bet "any amount of money that there would be cases against Lord Geo[rge] Cavendish". Ellison advises that he would not have been in favour of petitioning against Arkwright because of the risk of counter-petition against Lord Cavendish, 11 Feb
