Administrative History | Mrs Bates (1754-1835) moved from London to Ockbrook, where there was a Moravian community, after she was widowed. She set up two trusts based on property in Bethnal Green, London. The first trust divided its income as follows: ½ for missions to heathens, ¼ for education of children of Moravian ministers at Fulneck near Leeds (Yorkshire), ¼ for support of Moravian choir houses (for single people).
