A H Couser Ltd was a small civil engineering company, which was incorporated in 1941 and whose registered offices were in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. It was acquired by the Butterley Company for its contracts and plant in 1947. It became dormant, but was received as Butterley Simms Wulpa Co Ltd in 1960 to construct car lift-parks under licence. When it was realised that there was no commercial future for the operation, the Company became dormant again. In 1965 it was received as the Butterley Engineering Co Ltd to manage the remaining engineering departments at Butterley and Codnor Park Works. The company was re-named Butterley (E) Ltd in 1970 and liquidated in 1979. |
