| Administrative History | William was the son of Richard Cooper, who co-founded the company of Richard Cooper (Ashbourne) Ltd, corset makers. After the death of his father in 1885, William Hill Cooper took over the business. In 1890 he was badly injured in an accident, which largely contributed to his death in 1904. |
