Administrative History
The Widows and Orphans Fund in Derbyshire was divided into two sections. The northern section dates back to 1848, being reconstituted in 1905. The southern section, originally entitled the Society for the Relief of the Widows and Orphans of Clergymen and Families of Distressed Clergymen within the Archdeaconry of Derby, dates back to 1721.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office at various dates beginning in 1981. Reaccessioned 1999.
