Administrative HistoryA school was founded at Crow Lane in Unstone in 1833. After alterations and additions in 1871, it became affiliated to the National Society and was established as Unstone Church National Mixed School in 1873. In 1903 Derbyshire County Council took over the administration of the School, which later became known as St Mary's Council School. As a result of the re-organisation of schools in Unstone in 1956, the Infants Department became St Mary's Infant School, operating from the same premises in Crow Lane.
