Administrative HistoryHopwell Hall Special School at Ockbrook was first established by Nottinghamshire Education Committee as a residential school for boys requiring special educational treatment in 1921. As part of the boys' education from the 1960s onwards, the subject of Rural Studies was studied, which involved the running and working of a farm unit, the teacher being Mr Ian Gregory.
Custodial HistoryThe records were donated to the Derbyshire Record Office by a former teacher in April 1998.
