| Administrative History | A school in Matlock was endowed by the will of George Spateman in 1647. New buildings were opened in 1870 and enlarged in 1889 to cater for boys, girls and infants. The school closed in 1991 and amalgamated with Starkholmes CE Primary School to form Matlock St Giles CE Primary School. |
