Title
Churchill and Admiralty Office correspondence
Date
1942-1943
Description
The following copies are of correspondence involving the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, and Officers in the Admiralty Office about the naming of submarines rather than their being given just numbers. They show Churchill's forthright style in advocating the use of names. The copies were given to the Derbyshire Record Office by the Chairman of the Derby Branch of the Submarine Old Comrades Association in September 1997.
