Archive Creator	Cromford Parish Council
Administrative History	Parish councils were established by the Local Government Act of 1894. By a Ministry of Health Order of 1924 Cromford was included in the Matlocks Urban District. Also, the Derbyshire Review Order of 1934 transferred part of the parish of Cromford to the parish and Urban District of Wirksworth, while the Matlocks Urban District was extended to incorporate the remainder.
Custodial History	These records were deposited in the Record Office in December 1996. Added to the catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project by volunteer NGS.
