Administrative History
An endowment was made for a school at Killamarsh by the will of Robert Turie in 1720. Further gifts were made to set up a school house and help pay a schoolmaster (Kay’s, Butcher’s and Pole’s Gifts) between 1731 and 1753. The school premises were rebuilt in 1872 and enlarged in 1887.
