Administrative HistoryThe Ironville Schools were built around 1850 by the Butterley Company, but the infants department was originally held in the nave of the church. The school was closed in July 1973.
Custodial HistoryThese records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in April 1974 by the Derbyshire County Council Education Department as part of D1389 and reaccessioned in 1995.
