Administrative History	Copthorne County Infants School at Alfreton opened in 1921 as the Alfreton Temporary Junior Girls' Council School. A new school was built in 1953 and the junior mixed classes were transferred to Woodbridge and Mill Close Junior School. Infants went to Copthorne. The school closed in December 1959.
Custodial History	These records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in April 1974 and were originally part of D1389. Added to the catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project by volunteer NGS.
