Administrative HistoryMount Tabor in Market Place was Wesleyan Methodist originally. Having joined the Wesleyan Methodist Reformers in 1849, the chapel became a United Methodist Free Church in 1857. In 1907 they conbined with the New Connexion and Bible Christians to become the United Methodist Church. A further amalgamation with the Wesleyan Methodist and Primitive Methodist Churches formed the Methodist Church in 1932. Mount Tabor Methodist Church closed in the 1960s.
Custodial HistoryThe records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office at various dates from 1973. Some records were originally accessioned as part of the Long Eaton Methodist Circuit records, They were reaccessioned in 1995.
