Archive CreatorCressbrook Methodist Church
Administrative HistoryIt is known that the Primitve Methodists had had a presence at Cressbrook since at least 1844, as it is recorded in a Bradwell Circuit preacher's plan of that date. They did not have their own chapel but used rooms in private houses until, in 1931, an actual chapel building was erected. This building was called Trinity Chapel.
Custodial HistoryThe records were deposited at various dates between March 1978 and July 2004. They were formerly held under the reference number D1877 (reaccessioned 1994). With the exception of D4099/10/1, these records were deposited in an envelope marked 'papers left after sale' and postmarked November 1972.
