| Administrative History | These records relate principally to the infants and girls schools and to the junior school from 1950.
This school was opened in 1878 as a Board School and became a Council School in 1903. Originally it had 3 schools or departments for infants, boys, and girls respectively. In 1908 a separate infants school was built, while in September 1950 the girls and boys departments became one mixed junior school. This was renamed Cloudside School in 1954. The older children were transferred to Friesland Secondary School as part of this reorganisation, and the infants school was renamed Ladycross Infants School. |
