Administrative History	Matlock Council School, originally Matlock Bank British School, which became a senior school in April 1952 taking senior pupils from Matlock Town Church of England and Matlock Bank Junior Schools. The school closed in 1956 on the reorganisation of secondary schools in Matlock.
