Description | This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A Survey of Coate Farm in ye parish of Chesterfield April 25th 1693 by Joseph Parker. Surveyor: Joseph Parker. Scale: of 10 chains [1:2640]. Size: 36 x 23 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Notes:4 point compass rose, north at top. 9 named fields, 32 acres, with stylised houses and buildings: endorsed 'A survey of Coate land'. Location: DRO, D37M/H8 |
