Administrative HistoryA new Board School for both boys and girls was opened in Shirebrook in 1896. In 1902 the school was reorganised into separate Boys and Girls Departments. The Girls School became a Junior Girls School in 1930, but in 1953 was re-organised again to become a Junior Mixed School. The school also known as Carter Lane School, closed in 1984.For the log book of the New Mixed Board School, 1896-1914, see D6625.
