Description	Little Homes Ware being informed that it has of late years been raised 16 inches The corporation for not making the arches or arches higher and larger of the Morledg Bridge All persons that have encroached either on the River Derwent or on the Brooke Paul Nightingale for having to leave a large quantity of gunpowder in or near his dwelling house Mr William Vale for an encroachment of a yard and on half on St Werburgh's Brook from the top to the bottom of the said Mr Vale's yard Mr Mathew Newton for a small encroachment on the opposite side William Fletcher for a tree upon the said Brook as an encroachment there Joseph Elliot for a root of a tree and a yards encroachment on the said Brook John Sadler for another root of a tree there as an obstruction to the water William Hoghkinson for a little house hanging over the said Brook Mr Samuel Fox for another little house over the said Brook John Smith for an encroachment there on the opposite side to Joseph Elliot's Sir Nathaniel Curzon or his tenant for an encroachment next to Dr Cheshire's dyehouse for the compass of a yard upon the said Brook The Corporation for not clearing two of the arches from rubbish and other impediments under the Gaol Bridge Joseph Marsden for an encroachment by piles and otherwise on the Gaol Brook Samuel Fisher for the like Mr Wright and Mrs Ward, widow of Mr Joseph Ward or one of them for an encroachment on the Gaol Brook a yard and a half from the top to the bottom of the backside and croft supposed to be sixty yards or thereabouts in the whole Henry Greatorex for the same on the opposite side John Wooley (Mr Calton's tenant) for a small encroachment on the Gaol Brook George Statham for an encroachment there by a tree The Corporation for not having more large and open arches to the Tent. Bridge where wee imagine a great obstruction arises to the Gaol Brook, and more especially now as great quantities of dirt and sludge appear to be under them Robert Clarke for an encroachment by his garden and little house on this Brook Mrs Bayly or Mrs Rivett for an encroachment on this Brook a yard and half the whole length of the garden or neare so where such encroachment appears Mr Gilbert Cooper or his tenant for not cutting down two willow trees pruning and osier on the opposite side to Mrs Rivett's garden Isaac Turner for continuing the little wear at the holmes raised much higher than should be by 10 inches or thereabouts And to remove this obstruction as well as others wee unanimously recommend a pair of flood gates to be placed near the mouth of this Brook where the said little wear ir, or as near it as shall be thought convenient
