Administrative History
The school was opened in 1928 as a Girls' Secondary School. From September 1974 it was a Mixed Secondary School. Under the reorganisation of secondary schools in the Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire Education Area, it ceased to be a separate school in August 1991, and amalgamated with Newbold Green School to become Newbold Green Community School.
