Administrative History
The school is named after Philip Howard, 13th Earl of Arundel (1557-1595) who was imprisoned for his Catholic beliefs in the Tower of London where he died. He was canonised in 1970.
Custodial History
This souvenir booklet was donated to the Record Office by the headmaster of St Philip Howard School, Glossop, in July 1991
