Administrative History
Clowne Girls Board School opened in 1880 when previous mixed school separated into Girls and Boys Board School on different sites. The Girls School moved to the present premises in 1942 and in 1953 this site became the Clowne Secondary modern (Mixed) School In 1977 the school became a comprehensive, closing in 1991 when the site became Clowne Heritage School again for 11-16 year olds.
