DescriptionThis appears to be a new register begun around 1880-1882. Details of serving officers were copied from the previous register and then new appointments have been added. The oldest serving officer in the early 1880s was appointed in 1857.

Records rank and registered number, name, date of appointment or re-appointment, native county, town or parish, age when appointed, height, trade or occupation, married or single, number of children, if in public service previously, by whom recommended, date of reduction, promotion, removal, etc., favourable records, punishments, whether discharged, dismissed or resigned, cause of dismissal, resignation, etc., injuries received when on actual duty, if a pensioner, rate per diem, remarks.
