Administrative History
A National School was established in Creswell in the early 1870s. New school buildings were completed about 1899 and in 1934 the school was renamed Creswell Church of England Senior school. At this time younger children were transferred to Creswell Infants School or Creswell County Junior School according to age. Creswell Church of England Senior School closed in 1969. Its successor school was Markland Upper School which itself closed in 1991. For records of Markland Upper School see D5096.
