Administrative History
Chaucer Street School was erected in 1889 by Ilkeston School Board, to accommodate 308 boys, 259 girls and 480 infants. The school later moved to Cantelupe Road but remains known as Chaucer Infant School.

Acquired by Derbyshire Record Office in 1989. Further deposit in October 2023
