TitleOrder by the Committee for removing obstructions in the sale of the [Lincoln] Dean and Chapter's land, concerning the petition of George Caldwall claiming interest in prebend of South Searle, under lease of 1627/8 by Thomas Beard, DD, Prebendary in Lincoln Cathedral of South Searle, Nottinghamshire, to Samuel Caldwall of Northmasham of prebend, including advowson of vicarage, for lives of George, Edward and Samuel, sons of Samuel Caldwall, at yearly rent of £13 6s 8d. Surveyors returned in survey that lessees lived far remote in West Country and had 2 lives in being, George Caldwall affirms that self and Edward Caldwall still living. Committee allows the lives and orders reprise to be made to purchaser by subtraction of assessed amount from second moiety of purchase money due. Note to be made by William Webbe, Surveyor General for sale of lands, on survey of prebend of allowance for lease of lives
